Out of the blue, without dropping it or getting it wet, my phone started pressing its own buttons on the screen and moving icons around on its own. Every now and then the phone will work 100% without doing its own thing which made me think it is a software issue and not a hardware issue.

1.) I installed an anti-virus program to see if its not a virus but no joy.

2.) I reset the phone but still no joy.

3.) I did the upgrade to the latest android OS update but it did not help.

I then did a screen test after Googling on how to do it and noticed that there is a strip from top to bottom on the left that i could not draw a line on. This made me think that it is the screen that broke and i gave up.

2 evenings ago i decided to Google around a bit and noticed that there are allot of people that has the same issue. The main thing that everyone else said was that at times it works fine and the whole screen will be touchable but most of the times its not working.

I'm confused and need help.

Do you have a protective case that might be pressing on the keys? an extra film protector?

Then you should take it to a Sony repair center
