hai siapa pemilik2 Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 mungkin boleh tlg aku.
Aku guna line celcom. Aku ada masalah bila org send msg nama dia tak keluar dlm inbox tu.. tp no tu dah save dlm phone book. Dlm sms no tu keluar +6(no phone), sb ada +6 tu... phone ni anggap tu no lain. Tp bila org tu call.. ada plk nama dia keluar. Tau tak mcm mana nak setting?

Boleh kongsi sekali apa masalah phone ni yg korang hadapi?

I have recently purchased X8 and upgraded to 2.1 from PC companion.

I am not able to send SMS, long, short any type.

After searching the net got solution for x10 for similar problem.

1) Dial *#*#4636#*#*

2) The enter SMSC no. in phone information and update

Tried above solution but received UPDATE ERROR

Tried with other sim card but no use.

My problem sms setting settled when i upgrade sofware. Now my battery phone very quick to weak (bad perfomance), i buy one new battery for my phone but still same problem.. quick weak. Why?

Some functions use a lot of battery power, such as using live wallpapers, having automatic updates for Facebook and other functions, and leaving the wifi on when it isn't needed. You might wish to look at thoese settings. I found with mine (and with my X10) that the battery died very quickly when I first updated but it has now settled in and seems to last much longer.

hi, i too have the same problem, after upgrading to 2.1 my x8, is missing "touch button" ( setting- wireless and networks- mobile network - ....?????....)for entering the message center number. I sent an e-mail to sonyericsson and awaits a response.

thanks for the post below,.

Based on your advice, i was able to get in and put the SMSC number and the sms service is working perfectly now !!

🙂 additional instruction is :

3) before entering the SMSC number , click on 'refresh' button next to update button

4) if after refreshing , some number comes up like this : "+65 98787878",145 then replace the 8 digit mobile number with the SMSC number and 'update' (what is important is to start entering the SMSC number with a " and end with a " then put a , followed by 145

can sumbody help me? i bought my new xperia x8 2 days ago and i cannot send messages ive rang my network provider twice and still it is not fixed, i can recieve sms and go on the net make calls etc but not able to send messages, i tried the above solutions but nothing happening all i get is error???

Hi, I suppose you have tried entering SMSC number which you have requested from your Network Provider, you need to be sure that you have entered the correct numbers.

The other thing is to check the SIM Card, are you able to try with another SIM Card?

A few other things to try .... reboot phone? remove and re-insert SIM Card?
