topic WiFi problem in XPERIA archive

When I go into settings to turn my WiFi on the 'on-off' slider doesn't work; it won't change from 'off' to 'on' when I try to change it. However, after opening the WiFi menu it reads "Turning on WiFi," even though it quite obviously isn't. The 'scan' and 'Add network' button options also won't function when pressed. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Try to start your phone in safe mode to see if the problem might be related to any 3rd party app you have installed in your phone:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008

If the problem persists in safe mode I recommend that you update/repair the phone software using PC Companion:
