Sony Xperia S Phone Issue While Resetting Phone Setting

I am using Sony Xperia S. I had reset my Phone. After reseting the sim card isn't accepting. My sim card is BSNL. I had selected Mobile Networks to Cellone(BSNL)
. But it shows error message, "Check whether sim is inserted correctly or cannot connect to network".

My current location is cochin, Kerala.

Please provide me a solution as soon as possible.
Do i need to change any Phone settings.

Do you have another phone you can try that SIM in or another SIM you can try in the phone?
