Phone stucked in headphone mode

My phone (Xperia S) is stuked in headphone mode. I've tried to connect and disconnect the headphones. And I've tried both repair and reset the phone in Pc companion. I've even tried to remove the plug on top of the phone (removed the small screws under the cover), the phone still says that headphones is connected.

To answer the phone I have to use loudspeaker or ear phones, since there is no sound sent to the little speaker when my phone think the headphone is connected.

Any solution proposals?

check if there's any dust in the 3.5mm connector

Have removed dust. Did'nt help 😞

Force restart(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates).

Do you have smart connect updated?Try to clear data for it.Also,do you get some notification in the panel?

When I reset the phone in Pc companion it was reset without any data, then I used a back up since the problems still was there. When I turn on the phone I get a message telling me that the microphone and buttons doesnt work.

I've only updated and reset the phone with Pc Companion, should I try using Update Service insted?

I tried to reload the software with Sonys Update Service, no change - still stuck in headphone mode 😞

So you reinstalled with SUS?Still no change?Could you try different headphones?

I've tried different headphones all works fine. I just tried a pair new Sony headphones, the button dont work, accept from that the headphones work fine.

The phone works fine with earphones connected. The problem comes when I disconnect the earphones. The phone stil shows the earphone sign and there is no sound in the little speaker. To answer the pone I have to turn on loudspeaker or connect earphones.

I have exactly the same problem.

It probably happened for the first time about two weeks ago. "Cleaning" (there wasn't actually any dirt) with a cotton bud did the job. But it has happened quite a few times since then and now basically everytime I use a headphone.

I thougt it was rather a mechanical than software problem, is there some kind of switch in there that could have a defective contact?

The phone says that earphones are connnected when they are connected and when they are not connected. I've tried all solutions that has been proposed witout any change.

I am sorry,the ultimate solution I give is to take the phone to a sony center.
