Xperia L - Touch Issue and camera issue

Hi i bought xperia L mobile on 29 of Sept and , i have very much problem in the touch when ever i scroll down or move the creen it automatially selects the applications, in browser it expands and minimise itself. and the camera clarity is not at all good i feel it is not even 3 MP camera. i called to customercare and asked for the replacement of phone, they said it is not possible to replace. and it can only be repaired, i was very much freaked of this phone. as it is a new phone i dont want to use the repared one, i want to replace my phone with another pls do the needful

Only dealer could make phone replacement after few days from purchase (check DOA policy, reseller isn't obliged to do it).

Anyway

Touchscreen: I had the issue and was solved after last firmware update + factory reset

camera: your phone isn't faulty, I have the same issue even with a new camera module (replaced during a repair).

Xperia L has a low quality camera and a bad software optimization. You can try to take better shoots using another camera app (like procapture)

#Cot88: I have been updated my phone today and now it is 15.0.A.1.31 (android 4.1.2) and I'm also having the touch issue with games and sometimes in general. I can play fruit ninja normally but games like Batman and Dead Trigger didn't work well. I mean, in game, I can't walk and aim at the same time. What you mean I have to do, is reset my phone? Are you sure? Hope you can answer me, and I already gave you a kudo

15.0.A.1.31 was the initial firmware of xperia L. What update you have done :smileyconfused:?

I am as confused as you! Can you contact me on facebook, or something else for us to chat?

I went to configuration > about my phone > Version number: 15.0.A.1.31. If I go to Software update, it says I have the last one. Maybe it's because I live in Brazil... You know, they don't care about us 😧 I bought this phone few days ago and I still can't root or do anything like that... 😕 what you suggest?

15.0.A.1.31 is one of the first firmwares of Xperia L. With this firmware i had the same touch issue solved with 15.0.A.2.17 update. (firmware release order 15.0.A.1.31 ---> 15.0.A.1.36 ----> 15.0.A.2.17 ----> 15.3.A.0.26)

Do you have a branded phone?

Anyway to check if there is an update install PC companion on your PC/Laptop and plug your phone.

Yeah, I have already tried to plug my phone with PC companion, but it says the same thing. And if I understood right, no, it is not branded (by telephone companys?!). This is odd....

#EDIT: PC Companion detected a new update. I think it could be some kind of bug with my PC... thank you for the suport. Updating, I'll post later if it stopped the touch issue.

Maaaan this is so amazing!!! It came with android 4.2, version 15.3.A.0.26. So beautiful... Dead Trigger is running just perfect! And thank you for the suport and patience, you really deserve all the kudos of this forum!

I'm still waiting the update to 4.2.2 (I live in Italy)

Make two tests for me please

- Check if camera works better (more focused images, less noise)

- Check if there is a screen flickering during use (experienced by another user)

Well in my opinio the camera is a little better than before... The only bug that i'm having and it's annoying me is that the cellphone get a black screen like it was turned off and it stand like this for some seconds and after pressing too much the power button (and desesperate thinking me cellphone died) the screen came back with a black wallpaper and than started to "reload" all the apps and widgets. This happend 3 times already. All the 3 times was when I was listening to music, and pressed the microphone button to pause the song. Don't know what kind of bug is this, or if it's related to the microphone button, but it happend! 😕 btw, the device is way better to play games!!!

Have you done a factory reset before (or after) the update?

When there is a big update with a new android version it's necessary to avoid conflicts with applications installed

No, I didn't... i'm going to do it sometime (it's hard to lose everything lol). thank's for the advice!

#edit: do I have to turn off the phone and press some kind of "power + volume" button for the factory reset? I did the one present in the phone's configuration menu and it didn't clear anything :S

Try with: Settings > Backup & Restore > Factory reset (last choiche) > Scroll down and select "erase internal memory" > Select restore phone..

Yeah I did this, but I didn't press the "erase internal memory" because in portuguese it's writed as "Apagar dados do cartão SD" that means "erase sd card data" ¬¬ Now I did the "correct" way, i'll be testing around... At this time, the bug is over...
