In my Xperia Z Ultra, I have a serious issue. Then volume setting automaticall changes to silent mode after an incoming call is answered. From the next call, it goes to silent mode. This is in spite of my changing this manually to a specific volume from Setings-> Sound -> Volume. Because of this I miss calls very frequently. I do not have any other steeings like calendar sync, etc. I am not sure why this is happening. Any soutions to this will be highly appreciated as this is quite a serious problem for me. Thanks a lot.

It could be caused by an app.

Check if you can replicate the same problem in safe mode.

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008

Also check that no audio settings are set in Smart Connect.
