Phone software update information currently inaccessible

When trying to update xperia l software through pc, it gives the following error

Server not accessible.

Pc companion needs to connect to an online server.

The server is currently not accessible.

and

Support zone new, xperia transfer new, contacts setup new etc apps are not installed even after successfully installing the sony pc companion.
