Favourite contacts

Hi guys,

I can't seem to get the favourite contacts widget to work properly.

I've 8 favourites so far but still the widget displays two other contacts who are not marked by me as favourites. I've tried deleting the widget, rebooting the phone, removing the gold star by the favourite contacts and then adding it again and nothing works. It still displays 6 favourite contacts and two other contacts.

I'm at the end of my rope here. What on earth am I doing wrong?!

Are you syncing your facebook contacts? are those 2 other contacts star contacts on facebook?

Hi there!

Ah, sorry; forgot to mention that they're not synced with Facebook or any other type of app, widgets etc.

What if you backup your contacts then > settings > apps > all > phonebook > clear everything > restart your phone > check again

Phonebook > menu > filter > uncheck everything > then try again

What if you unmark the star contacts as favorites > resart your phone and re-mark them ?

if not you can do something a bit more drastic and repair your phone

I have tried to ummark and re-mark them in any possible way I could think of but that didn't work either.

However I did have sort of a break-through last night. I sent a text message to one of the two favourites who kept getting bumped off the 8-slot-favourite-contacts shortcut widget on my screen. Immediately after that the person reappeared in in her usual slot. I then tried to send some text messages to the other "missing" person and shortly after that he too reappeared in his usual slot.

So it would appear the the favourite contacts widget only consists of the people you write/give a call to on a regularly basis. I thought they were specifically chosen with a golden star and thus always kept this status no matter what. I wish I could have known from the start. Would have saved me a lot of aggrivation.
