Xperia TX closing apps randomly

Hi,

For the past couple of days, pretty much all the apps on my phone have been unusable, as my phone will kill the app completely of its own accord within a 30 second period of opening it. This seems to apply to games, as well as browsers such as Chrome. The only exception seems to be the e-reader app Aldiko. Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating for me.

Any help and advice anyone can share would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the phone brand new about 3 weeks ago

Model number: LT29i

Android 4.1.2

No, and I'm sadly not even sure how to do that. I did just check for any available software updates through the settings menu but nothing came up. I have no idea how to run a repair.

I turned off my phone and removed my battery and sim card, and then replaced them and restarted and everything seems to be working fine now. So hopefully that did the trick.

Sorry for the slow reply, if this does not work please see the instructions below on how to run the repair:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps
