AR effect Problem

I had problem with the AR effect, whenever I try to capture it in low light, the photo appears to be all blackout except for the effect part, please help.

Hi I have problems with ar effect in my sony xperia z1.
Whenever I take pictures I select ar effect.
.but never comes up.
Can.you please suggest me how to fix it.

Not really related to the OP but today's AR update removed the zombie faces (which is hilarious) from Masquerade so I rolled back to previous version.

@rockerbx - Can you please elaborate on what you by it not working, for example is the camera not loading, not taking the pic, is there an error message etc?

@Joe_Zep, wow, I wasn't even aware that Masquerade had zombie faces thing too. Last I tried with people in the shot was post the update, and there was this weird paper smiley on people's faces,[like this, https://app.box.com/s/gwq0rb3gvu59ryackds2

(ignore the chequered texture, used Skitch to conceal the identity ), .now that I am already updated, I will have to roll back just to see if the zombie thing was as good as you say it was. Maybe it is still present, and places a variety of faces depending on the number of people? have you verified that AR effect on a bigger group?

Use the front camera and keep tapping your face to see all the masks.
