Activity phone not responding - problem with calling

Hi,

I bought my Sony Xperia P a few months ago and I have been experiencing trouble with calling and receiving calls. When it rings, I can't answer the call, it freezes and stops responding. Or I answer and it continues ringing while I talk to the other person. Similarly, when I try calling somebody it stops responding; sometimes the other person can hear me, but my phone takes around 20 seconds to respond. I usually have to restart the phone in order to use it again.

Hope anybody can help

Hi, try repairing phone software with PC Companion or Update Service.

Be aware that this process will erase phone data completely, backup if necessary.

I tried that a month ago ago, it helped for a few days and then the problem returned

Maybe try booting phone in safe mode to check if any app is causing the problem.

Ok, I am going to try that and see what happens.

If another app is causing the problem, how can I know which one?

If that is the case, you need to eliminate them one by one, unless you suspect one.

Hi, do u have any idea, which 3rd party app causing this problem? In safe mode my phone is working normally. Thanks in advance, sreejesh

I still don't know what caused the problem, but I managed to control it by switching my phone off every other day. It is turned on all the time and as soon as I notice problems, I just restart it and it works for a few days. Not really a solution, but you can try it 🙂

Do you have any task-killers or antivirus?Also,do not use free ram apps or cleaning apps.

Restart if one of the most important process to take place in an android device,it refreshes the phone os and resets the RAM memory.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I suspect that Viber may be causing this because it uses core functions of the phone. I'll trying uninstalling Viber for some time and see if this solves the issue.
