NFC Software between phone and PC

Hi,

I have a Xperia Z and an Xperia S.

I also own several computers with NFC technology.

Everything works, except between phone and computer. No matter which computer or which phone.

Everything else works, up to the TV, speakers, but just not what I would like the most.

When I try to pair them, there's an "unsuccessful pairing" sound, but no information about why it cant connect.

NFC is turned on, have tried updating, resetting, and third party software, however nothing fixes this problem for me.

Do anyone know what this could be, and what a fix for this could be?

It's hard to say what you need to do as this depends on the software you have for NFC in your computer and what features it supports. What is it that you want to happen when you touch your computer with the phone?

Well, I use the software that came with the machine. Tried updating as well.

Also tried some third party software but I cant remember which one that was.

I would like to be able to transfer data, and such things, so that I wont have to find the cable and all that every time.

Also without dropbox and stuff like that.

It just doesn't connect at all though, with some kind of "unsuccessful pairing" noise when I try to pair them.

When you send a file using NFC it's actually sent over bluetooth. NFC is just used to setup the bluetooth connection between the two devices so the NFC software in your PC will probably have to handle bluetooth as well or be able to control your computers bluetooth software.

I don't know how you should configure this though as this depends on your NFC and bluetooth software. I recommend that you contact your computer support for this information.

Yeah, that is who I tried to contact first.

And they actually referred me to this place as they had no clue what so ever sadly.

But I will take a look at the bluetooth bit and see if the problem can maybe be with something there.

Sorry to hear they couldn't give you any assistance.

Other ways to transfer files without using the cable is WiFi. If your computer and phone are connected to the same network you can use the connection wizard in PC Companion to setup a WiFi connection.

You could also try the 3:rd party software MyPhoneExplorer from www.fjsoft.at to connect using WiFi or bluetooth.
