Phone stucks and gets unusable

My Xperia U gets unusable when I receive calls and when any application starts the GPS.

When receiving calls, the phone goes on ringing but the display gets completely frozen and answering is impossible until you miss the call.

When an application needs the GPS, the phone stucks until GPS is not activated and it takes several seconds and sometimes minutes, until you get angry and force off the phone.

Furthermore, I had an Xperia Ray and GPS took few seconds to get the fix, Xperia U takes ages to get the fix!

I use this phone for my work but it's completely useless this way.

I've Android 4.0.4 - 6.1.1.B.1.89

You said you forced restarted the phone,right?I suggest repairing the phone until a better software version comes out.

What do you mean by "repair". Do I have to reinstall Android? I don't think I will have any benefit as long as the Android version is the same. When is it planned a new release of "working" Android?

It is work trying the repair in case there has been a problem with the current installation of the OS; instructions below:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps
