Hi

i can see many black spots on my xperia z phn. I went to the sony center and they are neither reparing it nor replacing it. Instead telling me to use the phone with this camera defect. My phn is under warranty. They are telling me that you have done liquid damage to the phn. But how is this possible as its a waterproof phone. And above all the sony center person denied this phn to be a waterproof phn. Please help me what to do. i am worried.

where did you buy your phone from? if you got your phone with a subscription plan off a phone serivice company then go to them and show problem they should send it into repair under gurantee if it's now still vaild i did that when my phone camera began to get a black spot so i went to phone company where i got phone from thats under subscription and i told everything to one of guy in store and he knew problem exactly and sent my phone into repair under gurantee request so repair place accepted the repair and then they switched camera in the phone did some test and so then sent it back and all of that was free of charge

They told me that we cannot repair this phn. it has tp be replaced but as u hav done liquid damage , we cannot replace. Now my ques is if liquid damgae is odne then its again phn fault as in how liquid entered the phn. My phn lids were never opened when it came in contact with water. The water proof thing is also failing.

Guys I think the black dot is cause by the back glass being lifted up.. Mine was lifted up a little bit and to make things worse I drop my phone from almost shoulder height few days ago.. There was no damage to the front and back screen bcz it drop at the right hand side. Only damage done is the right hand side rubber being slighly dented. When I got home I decide to wash my phone, after I dry it and took some pictures I saw 2-3dots that was not there before. So I personally feel that dust went into the lens through the lifted back glass. so be careful if ur glass is lifted even by a little, sent it back to sony. Iv had my Z for 4months+ now

If you're not getting assistance from the service location i recommend that you contact your local Sony Xperia support (http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/) for assistance. If water has entered the phone the service location should do a pressure test to see if this is covered by warranty or not.
