Hi

I have a Sandisk Ultra 32GB microSD card in my SP which 'sometimes' works...

After a power cycle it's fine for a while but then if I try to take some photos (saving to the external card), it will often produce a write error (can't save). Sometimes when flicking through the album, it will freeze then refuse further access to the card. I can't unmount/remount - fails. If it gets in this state, I have to power cycle to recover access. On two occasions, the phone has failed to power down... just hangs on the last screen before power down. The first time I left it - battery went flat with the screen on. The second time I used the 'OFF" button on the back. I've tried a couple of different cards and it fails with both.

When it's working and I connect to a PC, data access to the card seems to be quite reliable. I suspect a firmware bug as it would be unusual for the hardware interface to operate for a while then fail then be ok after a power cycle.... but if I'm the only one experiencing this then perhaps it's the phone itself. It's only about 3 weeks old.

Wondering if anyone else has this problem? I have a C5303 (Australian model).

Thanks, Craig

Sounds like it is the phone.

I'm using a Sandisk Ultra 64GB microSD without any problems, also on a C5303 device. The SD card was formatted in the phone as FAT32 if that makes any difference. I don't have any power or write issues. I've had the phone with the card for about 2 months.
