"Don't blame Sony"...are you kidding me..let me ask you this, who put in the minimum amout of memory required just to run silly sony apps?

A company like Sony should not be cheating us out of a few MB of ram. This is the difference between keeping their phone and switching to someone elses.

Let me play out their advertisement;

SONY XPERIA, a great phone without enough memory to run any apps. So if you choose our phone, then make sure you only install the few apps you really need. Oh and by the way forget trying to upgrade your phone to the latest software android has to offer, if you do, you can run the few apps you really need.

Why you may ask, because we only put in 380MB of ram for you to use for ALL OF THE APPS YOU REALLY NEED.

Thank you for choosing a SONY phone. Hope you will be just as smart when you buy your next SONY phone.

"DON'T BLAME SONY" give your head a shake man!

I hope yours is ICS, Arc S has low memory in both case internal storage & ram, so always clear cache for big apps like facebook,Firefox etc and move all possible apps to SD card. So you can use your phone smooth and with out lag.

while you update to latest version there Sony written a warning, find below. That means you can use your phone with minimal apps, and each apps in ICS will consume more space... So if you choose to upgrade u have to face all this... there is no point of blaming Sony
Good to know before you update:
Android 4.0’s hardware requirements are more advanced than previous software updates, so your phone’s performance may be affected.

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-arc-s/

ICS take more space than GB that's why... Xperia Arc S is best on GB platform...

Sony did not suggest ICS update for Arc S, Sony release ICS because of customer request, there is a clear warning while update... If you own Arc S you will better know, i was using Arc S, now its with my wife and it runs fine, she doesn't use much apps... Don't expect high performance from a low end processor with high end OS. if you need to run a high end OS buy a compatible high end processor device

Hope this make you understands ...
