The way to solve memory full

Sorry for my poor English first.

But trust me, i know how to slove this problem, and 100% work. My Xperia L got this problem too. But it needs root if Sony do not fix it.

Why device memory get full?
Because a lot of data save in 2 files call "core" and "crash" at data/core and data/crash.

you can find these two file if you root your Xperia L and use root explorer.

Del the things in "core" and "crash"

Someone may change the permission to read only on these file, then system will not save data in these file.

But someone cannot change the permission(like me) ,the permission will back to original after you reboot your phone.

Sony, please fix it. I am come from Hong Kong, Hong Kong's Xperia L got this problem too. I am not enjoying with root.

It was REALLY ANNOYING.PLEASE!

If your Google chrome, sandbox hang, the data will be ~260Mb.

If your SurfaceFlinger, Binder, ScreenBright, Eventhread, the data wll be ~20Mb

Beware of breaking your warranty, though.

If this really fixes the problem it totally unbeleivable that Sony has not come up with an official solution to it during the +2 months that people have been reporting the issue.

Losing the warranty is a bad thing, but good to know that some repair exist, if we can't get our money back. And if the fix doesn't arrive in very near future. Pretty dissapointing, that consumers must wait for weeks and months to use their expensive phone properly.

Hi Kaisa.

The procedure which you have mentioned above is correct and working. I was sick of getting the device memory get full on my phone after every couple of weeks. I am a gamer and I had games like Need for Speed Most Wanted and Asphalt 8 Airborne, which I felt were the only reason why the device memory got full. So I had reset my phone and did not install any 3rd party apps in order to check the outcome. To my surprise, the device memory kept on increasing with normal use of my phone and I kept browsing the internet for a correct solution as I already heard that the service center people are doing nothing but reset and update which is nothing but a diversion from the actual concern. It was difficult for me to go for rooting as it might have bricked my phone, but I felt that my phone was already bricked with this issue. So I rooted my phone and then followed your steps and voila!! Whenever I delete unwanted files from data\core and data\crash folders I can see a significant increase in space in my device memory. I truly appreciate your effort as no one else has been able to provide a clear cut solution to this problem. I hope you will come up with many more tips and tricks in the future, saving helpless users like us. By the way, I decided to go to consumer forum to lodge a case, but I loved my phone and did not want anything else as a replacement, not even the money.
