topic disabled camera app and now its not in list for me to enable it again? in XPERIA archive

Camera not working / loading / causes reboot.

ok since sudden death my camera will not work at all. first it loaded up and froze, then reset phone. now it just freezes the phone and resets it. Same with any camera app, snapchat instagram etc.

I have tried running diagnostics, i click camera to test it, camera loads then freezes and turns phone off and reboots.

im getting a bit more than frustrated now. Anyone else had same issues?

I have ran software updates aswell as software repair via PCC, nothing has helped.

one last post, I tried a few things to fix camera issues, i disabled my camera and now when i go back into app list and all apps it isnt there for me to enable again to see if its working...

any help?

When you have inactivated an app you'll find the app in the buttom of the app list if you go to settings > apps > all > scroll down to the bottom > camera > enable. Also clear data for the camera.

If you have an SD card in your phone you can try to remove it and then restart the phone and try the camera once again.

If you still experience problem and already tried to repair the phone software in PC Companion, it sounds like you should have the phone examined at a service center. Please contact your local support for more information:

There are a few things you should try first when you experience problems with your device:

Restart
Restart your phone to turn off all running applications and to free up memory. Press and hold down both the volume up key and the power key for 10 seconds. After your device vibrates three times, release the keys. The device turns off automatically. After the device is turned off, restart your phone.
Update

Reset
Reset your phone to its original settings to remove memory blocks: Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone Don't forget to back up any important data saved on your phone!
