I have had an Xperia ZR (4g model) for three weeks now. Last week it dropped the network and I could not send text messages, make/receive calls or use mobile data. I shut the phone down, removed battery etc but that did not fix it. When I got home, I did a factory reset and reloaded the software. That seemed to fix it. That lasted about a week and just now it has done the same thing. I am not going to constantly reset my phone every week or two. How can this stop?

Thak you for yor replies!

Cheers for the reply!

The simcard is a micro and is not trimmed, it worked in my previous phone. I used PCC last time. Will try SUS and see what happens, but I am not holding my breath.

Its a great phone and I hate to have this issue!

if SUS doesn't work just get a new SIM card as it might be faulty, it happens

I will try SUS tonight after work. I just went down during lunch and got a new sim card, that didn't fix it. I had service for about an hour, but now I am back to having no service, although the phone shows signal with the 3G symbol. When I search for networks, I only get one network (the one I am with), none of the others appear.

No dice with the SUS. It worked for a bit this morning, but has just stopped. The signal bar changes strength and flicks in and out of 3G, but there is no service, no calls, no data, no text.

Unfortunately in this case I would have to advise that you return the phone so that it may be assessed by an authorised repair agent sorry.
