Is anyone having this issue with the Xperia Z?

I have a 32 gb Kingston memory working flawlessly for about 3 months and since yesterday I am having this SD Card unexpectedly removed alert constantly.

If listening to the music stored there, the Unlock screen flickers.

Battery is drained A LOT being "Media" the culprit.

I have removed now the SD card, because I read over the net on different forums that eventually will be fried (I assume due to the constant use).

Does anyone know why is this? Hardware? Some App? I also unnistalled the last apps just in case.

I am from Argentina and Sony is not even selling this phone here, so I can not send it to repair!

Thanks a lot and sorry for the poor English!

I had the same problem but reading so many comments, I took some advice of reformating the card. Then I cut a piece of post-it note put on the opposite side (the back side that without golden contacts) of the SD card (to increase the thickness of the card ). So far for over a day, the problem has not come back. Hope this helps everyone. Obviously the SanDisk SD card maybe a bit too thin and when the phone gets hot, the metal case expands and the contacts may not have a tight touch with the card reader's contacts. I msy be wrong but that piece of paper works for me. Oh, make sure the piece of pape. Is long enough so that you can take it out when you want to.

I had the same issue. Mine lasted about a month then the error message showed up. I tried shutting the device off, re-inserted the card and powered it back on, still it won't work. Inserted the card in the sd card slot on my laptop, won't read the **bleep** thing. It's a 64 gb micro sdxc card and it's worthless. I got it from ebay and now I'm thinking it could be a fake Sandisk brand. Everything is gone. The micro sdxc card would not work at all.
