Sudden death touchscreen HELP!

Yesterday while walking in the city with my T in the pocket I wanted to make a call so I took the phone and it was dead. It wont turn on or flash a led simply nothing and the battery was about 60-80% so I had no clue... That night I tried to charge it but still no signal or anything. Today when I came back from school tried to put it to charger and it magicaly started. I was happy but my happines was away once I got onto the SIM code screen... Everything was fine (power button, volume but., screen was ok, connected me to wifi and got some messages from FB) but as I wanted to write the code I found out that the touch screen is not working. What now? Im clueless... I kinda dont want to reset the phone because of some important files that are propably there... Any other solutions? Sorry for bad english if Imade some mistakes. Please help.

thanks but I have already read that, and my problem kinda differs because I can connect my phone to the pc and the companion recognizes it also chargins works properly just the tuchscreen... currently trying restore through companion
