Factory reset support

My phone has developed new issues post the factory reset:
- random contacts have gone missing
- keyboard backspace and fwd slash keys are behaving buggy in potrait mode. didn't try landscape
- swipe works at times and sometimes not
- contact images are reduced to a small box vs taking up the entire screen after the software update
- the ear speaker issue which was told to me by the service centre ppl was a software issue remains unsolved
- few screenshot images have just disappeared on restore (yes, I did a full backup)

when you say full backup do you mean repair it with either PCC or SUS?

I backed it up from the PCC and then did a repair from SUS.

Are you sure its not because you are touching the edge of the screen with other fingers? I've read another thread and the user complained about the screen being too sensitive and this created similar issues.

Nopes. All was well till the factory reset. All of a sudden I can't be having too many fingers on the screen.

The bigger issue is regarding the contacts and the ear speaker

open the phonebook > menu > filter > perhaps some contacts were stored somewhere else, I suggest that you back them up with Google

Could you elaborate on the ear speaker? Because if the problem persists after repairing the phone it might be a hardware issue.

Service center refuses to check the phone. First Xperia Z Ultra they were dealing with.

No sound from the ear speaker most of the times. If there is any, is more of static. The phone hasn't got wet not have I tried to treat its waterproof abilities. The diagnostics is mixed. At times can hear the sound and at times I can't.

The battery life is reduced to half after the factory reset. It used to last me 12 hours and now within 4 it asks for a recharge.

You should contact a Sony Moderator so they can take a look into this, I don't understand why they wouldn't take your phone. Contact Johan, Sam, Alexander, Markus, etc.

It would be very odd for an authorised repair agent to not take a phone. Have you contacted your local Xperia Care team to verify if this is an authorised repair agent?

Hi Sam,

I finally did get support. They replaced the handset saying that the ear speaker software was conflicting with the microphone. Something I didn't understand.

Quiet unhappy with the phone though. The phone functions are terrible. Contact management, call quality. Still having issues with zero support from the service centre.
