Xperia SP Led light problem after update

Hello

After the latest update (12.0.A.2.245) of my Sony Xperia SP, the notification bar doesn't light up anymore when I receive an SMS. I tried to put the STAMINA mode off, but that doesn't make any difference. When I use my phone and I receive a SMS, it just blinks once like it did before the update. I downloaded the 'illumination bar' app on sony's advice, but I can't choose other colors than my theme color unless I pay for it.

Will there be an update from Sony to resolve the problem or is it possible to 'downgrade' my phone again? I will reinstall the update but I'm not sure if that is going to help. I've seen the problem already a couple of times on the internet.
That's the main issue I have with my phone right now. Somethimes, my screen light lights up when I push the unlock button, but the display doesn't. That happened already before the update and isn't that anoying, because it doesn't occurs much.

I hope Sony will notice this and release an extra update to recover the light problem.

P.S. I'm still fond of the phone and it is still a good looking phone!

latest firmware update is good. i would advice you to factory reset the phone using pc companion or sus and then update to this firmware it may resolve led issue.

Another problem is about ur screen display which is im also experiencing it. It occurs very frequently for me after the update. I hope sony will resolve this screen display issue.

I reinstalled the upgrade but the problem hasn't left....
I took a back-up, reinstalled it and recovered it.

My music beat light effect in walkman app is not working anymore few days after the update. Tried resetting it but still not fixed. Help anyone?

I'm really wondering if Sony are actually testing this phone properly. The LED notification lights made this phone very attractive, now I have complete dissappointment that it isn't reliable in notifying me and performs worse than other phones.

my SP already has the 254 firmware. no bug. led working perfectly. walkman is not turning off while opening chrome. camera slightly improve. but my phone is not rooted. i personally think that SP firmware is not enough stable enough to be rooted yet. that's why everyone seems having problems using the SP. maybe all of u already rooted this phone

ok for those who have an sony sp and the music beat effect dont work on walkman with the screen on

first make sure that when u play your music on sony sp walkman u need the volume up in order for the music light beat effect to work , also if this dont work try deleting all your music from your sony sp then on your pc select all songs u want to transfer to your device then press right click on the selected files and chose send to sony sp, if a message comes up sayng that the files need to be converted befor sending to device ignore it and choose "NO THE MEDIA FILES WILL BE SENT BUT WONT PLAY ON THE DEVICE" once u sent all the files they will actualy play on your walkman and the light beat effect will work IF U TRANSFER YOUR FILES WITH MEDIA GO I FOUND OUT THAT THE LIGHT BEAT EFFECT STOPED WORKING AND IT LOADET MY PHONE WITH DUPLICATES SO IT WORKED FOR ME I HOPE IT WORKS FOR U

I THINK SO:

Sony needs to take the LED instensity controlled by volume and ADD A NEW SETTING to manually change the intensisty level.

So, I should say "perfect"! 😃
