i cant download songs from chrome or opera either..the song starts downloading but it stops midway saying"download failed' and when i try playing that song it plays only till the part it is downloaded..i mean the song is not downloaded fully..i have free memory space as well....

Probably is site timeout
But I don't understand his issue

I don't know websites that give free and legal download of songs

And for youtube download are necessary third party apps/plugins

I find the best and easiest by far is to use firefox download helper. Follow the link for easy instructions on how to install and use download helper. This works on all free video sites and also on You tube which now provides some full BBC and ITV TV programmes.
