no response from tablet

hi there,

ive had my tablet a week now, love it and show it off to everyone but today its stopped repsonding. i was charging from about 15% battery life and wanted full charge. At 49% it seemed the tablet was still charging but i wanted to use it. i touch the screen and nothing happens. its lit up waiting for my security code to be entered but the tablet is stuck on this screen. if i press any place on the screen nothing happens..

the LED next to the power button flashes slowly white. and if i hold the power button in for even upto a minute, nothing happens.

on my mobile if this happens, i remove the battery and start again but thats not possible on this tablet...

do i have to wait now for the screen to drain the battery or is there a way to turn off / reset the unit? its not responding to the power button...

and i also have a bad microphone, its very quiet and no one can hear me..

do i need to return the unit back to sony even?

this happen to me and by accident I press either the volume up or down and the power button than the tab can back to life. But me the tab stop responding (nothing was working) when the tab went in sleep mode with the headset plugged I double tab the screen and press the power button, nothing the tab has shutdown but was not comming back on.

thank you for your suggestion. it seems you press and hold power button and volume up button together for 5 seconds. the tablet will restart. like soft reset.
