Hi everyone!

I have a question regarding contact sync and how it works.

When I owned my first xperia p I was creating my phonebook with a lot of contacts. Then I decided to root the phone and accidentally forgot to backup all data. When a new firmware started I saw en empty phonebook. It was awfull. But when I added my google account - my phonebook got restored. Which made me think that my phonebook was backed up at the google servers.

Well, that first xperia p was stolen and I bought a new one. I added again the same google account hoping to see my phonebook restored. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get all my phonenumbers from the old book.

Please help, thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

Evgeniy

Actually the contacts that you got when you added the google account was from the contact list of that account.

Go to https://www.google.com/contacts/contacts

to view the contacts associated to that account. All the contacts that you add here can show up in your android phone. To do that go to Settings >> Accounts >> Google and select your account.

Inside that you click Sync Contacts. You will get back your contacts.
