problems with xperia L

Hi I bought this phone just a week ago and I really like it however I am experiencing a few problems

1- My phone switched off automatically once, while I was calling

2- Sometimes screen goes blank and doesn't respond while I am on a call on VIBER

3- Getting only white notification light for all notifications

4- I get notification only when I unlock my phone after 1-2 mins, of messages/emails etc. However I do get calls easily. I am not sure if this is network error or phone error.

5. Lastly the email apps are not working properly. Gmail app doesn't keep all emails stored and keeps showing network error though my phone is connected to wifi mostly. Also the other inbuilt email app is horrible and it keeps syncing my Hotmail emails again and again which I have already read and shows only 25 emails.

Please help. Do I need to give my phone for repair or get it exchanged?

6. Also can someone tell me the best camera settings?

Please HELP ME!

Kamya26,

First of all, it is not good to query all complaints in a single discussion.

Make those complaints separately in corresponding threads\discussions, search for it.

For now, i will suggest below.,

Always update to latest version provided by sony( i.e v36).

for complaints1 &2-> Make sure that you disabled stamina mode & low batter mode, coz this will shutdown the phone in earlier versions of v36.

3->White notification is default notification. I agree with you as this phone LED API is not working with watsapp too. but we cannot blame the phone coz we dont know how the application uses this API.

4-> Notifications comes after some time you unlock the phone tells that you enabled STAMINA MODE and you didn't selected any application to run background (for eg if you want to get notifications from an application say whatsapp you need to select in STAMINA MODE applications, so that you are telling STAMINA MODE to ignore this application to run background to give you notifications) Common phone functions will not effected by STAMINA MODE eg. say phone calls/SMS etc.,

5->Email Apps will work perfectly , Please double check your sync settings in Email applications.

6-> Camera settings...? thats all photographers experience

However Email App is still giving a REAL HEADACHE. I hope I find its solution soon. I did check the settings, it did not help!
