Hi i am also having the exact same problem as pmts. The bug happened after updating my xperia p to build 6.2.A.1.100 Everytime I load a video and go full screen i saw that the control bars were missing They were replaced with a black bar and with numbers displaying info but there was no pause/ play button or the seek bar. I have tried using different browsers like dolphin chrome opera and the stock browser all of them the same. Even websites like youtube dailymotion and all the others do the same thing. Please fix this update asap. My other android devices and tablets did not have the same problem and so i realized that it was the phone itself that was the problem

Thanks for heping me

Sound strange! I suggest that you try to clear data for album and movie app. Go to settings > apps > the tab all > album/movies > clear data. Restart phone by press and hold power button and volume up at the same time until the phone vibrates. Then try again.

If the problem persist I suggest that you repair the phone software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

It seems that the previous person didn't explain this bug correctly. I have this bug as well. When in a web browser (Default, Chrome etc.), going fullscreen with embedded video is really broken. There's no video controls or anything, just a thin black bar with video progression numbers on the bottom left corner. I have done 2 software repairs since and they have been useless. At first it seemed like this is a problem with Chrome, but this affects any browser with the ability to make embedded video go fullscreen (including: Google Chrome, default browser, Maxthon, Dolphin Browser). This also happens if you try to open a video with the Google+ Photos app. It really seems like that this is because of the 4.1.2 update and not the browsers. Here's a bug report I made to Chromium. Take a look, it has some screenshots: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=316607&thanks=316607&ts=1383919208

I really wish you guys would fix this. It makes web browsers almost obsolete.
