Xperia L software glitch

My Xperia L was working just fine. I updated the android to the latest 4.1.2 build number 15.0.A.2.17 a few days after which i started experiencing this problem.

Whenever a call is connected, the back key doesnt work. Also the tabs key beside the home key disappears. This happens after i wake the screen using the lock button while the call is still connected. I have to use the home key which brings me back to the home screen but when i select any option from a list, it doesnt respond. It works fine as soon as the call is disconnected.

I did a factory reset which set it right for a few days but now the glitch is back.

Please tell me what to do. It's a brand new phone.

Is there anything near the proximity sensor?

i am usually usuing the handsfree so the proximity sensor is clear. The problem usually comes when the screen sleeps the first time since the call connects and i wake it with the lock button.

That's quite odd, repair your phone with SUS or PCC

I am trying to do the software repair but my internet connection is not very good so the download is taking time. Will post once the repair is done.
