Stamina is off as it always is, wifi always on, cleared cache, uninstalled app, tried older version, went back to most recent version, restarted phone etc. Works fine in my Xperia S. It only cuts off when the screen is off and then reconnects immediately when it is turned back on, which is weird as i would have through it'd take a few seconds for wifi to kick in or something?

Is anyone else experiencing that with AirDroid on Xperia SP?

Is your Compass pointing exactly North? Mine has been off by about 10 degrees ever since the begining before i started installing apps and only Google Maps was on there as right away street view with Compass mode on looked weird so upon testing realised compass was not facing exactly north. I have not used PC companion and i'm reluctant to do so as i'm doubtful it will do anything and secondly it's a lot of hassle backing and restoring plus losing data for a lot of apps.

BTW, my Xperia SP is the C5303 version on firmware .257. I noticed a new firmware is on it's way (certified at least), so maybe that'll fix it, if not, then it would be good if the Compass and Airdroid issue is passed onto the developers.

Compass

The compass doesn't seem to face North. As well as the Xperia SP i also have the Xperia S which seems to face North fine (i compared it to a real compass). I have calibrated using the figure 8 movement, restarted the phone, tried in different locations, made sure there are no magnets around and still the same issue.

When i point the older XperiaS to North (0 degrees North) using the Compass app from the Google store, it aligns with the North on the real Compass, but on the Xperia SP it shows that it's off North and the numerical figure shows as about "343 degrees North". This makes using maps other apps troublesome.

Please forward this info to the developers.

AirDroid/Wifi screen off issue

In case my post in the other thread is missed, WIFi with the screen turned off is causing issues with AirDroid. I'm guessing it has to be a bug with Xperia SP as AirDroid works fine on my Xperia S and Samsung S5830. AirDroid will work fine when the screen is on, however, when the screen goes off or you lock the screen, AirDroid loses it's connection to the connected PC and you have to turn the screen back on to initiate a connection. I have tried various things like clearing cache, reinstalling, restarting etc but it didn't help. Please forward this bug also.

Thanks.

Have you tried to reinstall/repair the phone software using PC Companion?

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

If the compass isn't getting better I suggest that you go to a store and compare to another Xperia SP or sending the phone to service for examination.

Where it comes to the AirDroid problem you are experiencing, you haven't the stamina mode activated on the phone?
