Microphone not working!!!

Hi,

This is the second time my Sony Xperia U has shown hardware defects.

I had bought this faulty piece on 24th June. It started giving touchscreen problems & had to be repqired by service centre people in January'13.

Now last week it started giving microphone problems. My voice was not getting detected by the phone. I called up your toll free number. The guy told me to dial some long number *#*#some_numbers#*#*. Than I ran the microphone test which failed. So he told me to submit it to service centre. I told him I want a new replacement instead of repair but he flatly declined by saying he did not have the rights, only service centre people have. So I went to the service centre. They inspected my phone & told me to submit it for repair. Thus there was no damage on my part, it had a faulty microphone. So I told him that I want a replacement & dont want the same phone repaired every 5-6 months especially becuase my warranty gets over in a couple of weeks. But he said that he will not replace it becuase then he will have to pay for the money because of some internal policies.

So Sony staff let me ask you a question.

As the phone has showed a tendency of breaking down every 5-6 months (despite me handling it VERY VERY carefully!) what if it breaksdown again after 5 months. I will not have any warranty so I will have to pay for the repair of this faulty piece.

So I am requesting you people to give a new phone instead of this faulty piece. This phone has given me frustration & enough of mental harrassment. If you do not abide by me sincere & logical demeands I will not think before fling a complaint at the Consumer Court.

I hope that this request of mine does not fall on deaf ears.
