Xperia U - SOUND PROBLEM

hi! my xperia u lost its sound while i was watching youtube video. i thought it was just a problem with the video, but im wrong. i have tried to reset to factory settings and restore backup but nothing works. but when earphones are inserted i can hear sound. please help me how to fix this problem. thank you.

That seems strange, have you tried to do a repair of the phone software?

Click on this link to get Sony PC companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

Start PC companion, start "Support Zone", start "Update phone software" and click on "Repair".

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know if you are still having this issue after the repair of the phone software.

this is what i get. sony does not have software available for my phone. why is it like this? what else can i try to fix my phone? please help...

Have you rooted your phone or something like that?

Deactivate Anti-Virus software or Firewall software on your computer and also make sure to have the latest Java installed on your computer:

www.java.com

If problem still persists, try on another computer.

i don't know, technical solution, but un-technically,
Sony Xperia U has low sound, if you disable the 3D Surround.
So, if you've disabled it (like me), then enable it then check...

thanks bro, but i didn't do anything like that. it just happened while i was wathing a youtube video. right now i don't have time to visit sony's service center coz i'm very busy so i was hoping that i can do something to fix my phone by seeking help here.

Please help hubs has xperia z. When watching live tv the sound is fine however, when watching using Netflix the sound lags so the speach is completely off. Is there a fix available as this is spoiling his enjoyment of the phone?
