XPERIA Update - Phone not restarting

Hi, I received a notification to update my phone and during the process the computer stated the the update had not completed. My phone is now on the start screen only showing SONY. Has been on this screen for 30 mins or so. How do i fix this problem without loosing everything?

Sorry to hear that,

You can try to remove/insert battery and charge the phone for a couple of hours and later try to start the phone while in charger.

If problem persists I recommend you to do a repair of the phone software via Sony PC Companion (This will delete everything on the phone memory):

Start PC companion, start "Support Zone", start "Update phone software" and click on "Repair".

Follow the on-screen instructions.
