I updated to Jelly Bean OS about a week ago and after failing to update the first time it was successful the second. After following all the on screen prompts and restarting my phone after installation I am face with this problem.

I am completely unable to access any or my messages, receive any or send any,

I also can not access my photo on my phone or via connection to a computer.

I have been looking for information on the Internet for some time now and have had no luck so I am hoping that I can find some help on here. According to the information on my phone it knows that I have photo's on there and how many I have that is through the gallery and through memory management but is unable to access them? When I connect to the computer I get plenty of files showing up but all the folder have limited or no content and the only photos that it is able to find are ones that I have taken recently.

So I am wondering what I can do to recover the files that are apparently still on my phone? Any help would be great thanks.

That sounds a bit wired!

I suggest that you tryto clear data for media storage and the messaging app to start with. Go to settings > apps > the tab "all" > media storage > clear data. Do the same with the messaging app. Restart your phone and try again.

What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.
