Phone application serious bugs

Hi!

I updated my Xperia P to Android 4.2.1 (build 6.2.A.0.400). I have serious problems when answering a call:

When sliding the green answer icon, - sometimes - the UI freezes and the phone is ringing and/or vibrating. After a few seconds it says that the phone application is not answering, and asks if I would like to wait or close it.
When answering a call - sometimes - the telephone is vibrating for a few seconds after the conversation has started. This is very annoying and and disturbing for the remote caller also.
When making a call it takes too much time to start dialing / ringing or the ringing is not hearable.

I am disappointed because of the above bugs. I think answering and making calls should be a basic functionality without any bug. Please let me know if Sony is aware of these bugs and working on it.

I am considering rollback to 4.0.4 or buy an other phone, if these bugs will exist on my phone.

Hi .. I too had this problem with album app problem ... i unlocked the bootloader(http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/) and now its working smooth ... no more call lag , answering lag , album problem .

I am thinking of rooting my phone as well but waiting for someone to upload video tutorial on it .

you don't have to unlock your bootloader. unlocking the bootloader shouldn't improve anything just void your warranty and you wont be able to use SUS or PCC or Bridge or update OTA

Ya i know it doesnt makes sense... but i dont know why the issue of call lag , album , answering lag is not there after the unlocking bootloader ..

Did you delete any app before/after you unlocking bootloader?

it will be easier to use a different dial app > and disable the preloaded app, that will improve everything quite a bit, also empty the call logs and messaging app often

HI .. i didnt deleted ny app .. but downloaded few new ones from playstore . ...

1 more thing i noticed that previously i wasnt able to backup all the data using pc companion , ie it use to stuck in backing up page but nothing ever backedup ... but after unlocking i was able to backup all the data .... wierd

Ya, i hav this problem as well...

when got incoming calls, it will always vibrating first then till 2 seconds then the ringtones only show out....i did so many ways...still the same....it really annoying! it really Big bugs in JB.....

then i really can't notice my phone have misscall form someone....

Hope Sony will take note on this.....

go donwload XZ phonebook.apk & replace the old1....it's solve mine..:)

Do you also have keyboard app form Xperia Z??? In xperia P that app is named 'textinput-tng.apk' in /system/app.

I sometimes have problem with smiles during sms writing... maybe it's another JB bug

Hi guys!

I solved that problem by doing a factory reset on my phone. After the reset, I haven't experienced the problem. Earising the SD card was not necessary. Be sure you have done a backup of your contact list (to SIM or SD card) before doing a reset.

Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone

Guies i had the same problem. Just connect ur phone to pc.repair ur phone... Wont be any prob then.
