And you are sure these music files are stored on the phone memory? What happens if you connect the phone to your computer and try to transfer the music files?

Yes the music is definitely on my device however, I found that when I moved the music from my Amazon mp3 folder to music folder on the device when I connected to my pc it then allowed me to transfer to the sd card, so now my question is how to I get my device to recognise there is music in the Amazon mp3 folder as well as my music folder?

There is no way to move the Amazon MP3 folder to the SD Card or make it visible to connected devices. A lot of people are grieving about this and Amazon has not done anything about this at all. This their way of 'securing' mp3 downloads for normal users, to prevent piracy. I know, it's kinda lame, but that's the way it is.

If you are more adventures however, root your device and install a deodexed rom. Then go to the link below to swap your internal and external storage. That way, aAndroid will redcognise your extnal SD instead as internal SD, and vice versa.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239289
