The back button on my Xperia Tablet Z Wifi device is being pressed repeatedly without my interaction when I hold the tablet from the right side only. It seems to function fine if the device is laying down or being supported with both hands.

Has anyone else experienced this or have an idea what might be wrong?

I removed the opaque film on the screen when I removed the device from the box.

I am using the case linked below. However, I have replicated the problem with the case both on and off.

http://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Integrated-Elastic--Lifetime-Warranty/dp/B00B4D0COG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1370738655&sr=8-2&keywords=xperia+tablet+z+case

EDIT: My Z Seems to do this a lot less often if that case is off. However, what I have noticed is that any tweaking at all of the device causes all kinds of swipes and presses. Programs open up and homescreen swipes are activated if I tweak my hands (even just a tiny bit) back and forth holding the device.

perhaps when you hold the tablet part of your hand or fingers are touching the screen and if another finger is touching another part of the screen it could cause this issues on the homescreen.

No. I'm thinking this is more inline with the touch sensativity thread. I do have the latest update and I am contemplating removing the factory installed screen protector and installing my own.

I have had very few problems with the device since removing it from the case I originally was using. I think the weight of the case was tweaking the tablet just enough to cause these unintentional presses or swipes on the device.

This thread over at XDA describes my problem perfectly.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314007

I can get my tablet to do more than that gentleman in the video was getting. I get complete homescreen swipes and several back button presses sometimes. Again, I think it is a tradeoff to the amazingly thin design of this tablet and at this time, I am locating a case with a rigid back case like the incipio feather to help support the Tablet Z.

I've had very little problem with this after installing a feather case, removing the factory screen protector and installing an armorsuit screen protector.

It has actually been working pretty good since then. I really believe the case has helped more than anything because it is more rigid and doesn't allow the tablet to flex much.
