Walkman crash

Hi,

when I use Walkman applicaton during Internet browsing, the Walkman crash after about 3-5 minutes. Then I have to go directly to Walkman to start Play button and then the sound will continue. This often repeat during using Chrome.

do you have any other intrusive app running? taskillers, task managers, antivirus, battery apps, ram apps, booster apps?

This happened very early when I bought new mobile so I had no additional application. Now this issue still continue and I have some common applications - no app. which you mentioned.

The issue was on firmware 12.0.A.1.211, continue with firmware 12.0.A.1.257.

that's quite odd, and your music is in your SD card or internal storage?

I have music on SD card. But what is interesting is that the issue appears only when I using the Chrome. There is no problem with Walkman in standby mode.

So I tried to move the music to internal storege and there is the same issue.

Just one update - the walkman application is still open (I can see it in top panel) but the music doesn´t play. Also the walkman looks as the music is reproduced, because I can see the pause button instead of play button in the application.

try settings > apps > all > walkman > clear everything

I tried it but Walkman stop producing the music after about one minute when using Chrome 😞

could it be that you visit certain websites such as youtube or has videos that might stop the walkman app?

try visiting other webistes, like google, time.gov, engadget, etc most likely the issue are the pop-up ads

It can be that it is connected with some pages because I tried visit google, engadget and there was no problem.

But is it normal?

that's normal, if you go to a website and that website has ads or video it will start playing that sound, thus, stopping the walkman app.

Every time I visit it,the Walkman has stop playing. Are you able to duplicate it?

it doesn't happen with my phones, but I don't have the SP, also I do notice that it has a youtube video, are you certain your phone doesn't start playing it?

No, the video didn't start to play. I only visit the page without any actions.

Sounds like the page is displaying an ad with sound or something. I tested this page here in a SP but Walkman doesn't stop for me but i'm probably not seeing the same ads as you. If i tap the video Walkman stops however as it should.

Just to make sure that there's nothing strange going on with Chrome in your phone you could try clearing data and cache for it under Settings -> Apps -> All and also that you install the update for it that was just released. You could also try the beta: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chrome.beta

Hi OP, I have the exact same problem. Whenever I use the Walkman app and chrome at the same time, the Walkman app will crash.

I'm also having the same problem with a third party music app as well (PlayerPro). Opening Chrome causes it to crash.
