Hi, I have a serious dissatisfaction over erratic touch screen of Xperia J. I have repaired my phone, gave factory reset couple of times. But the same problem time and again. For instance, you can touch and hold an icon and shift it to another space. But I cannot do it. There are many more.

Am I the only one with this kind of problem with Xperia J? Can you help me?

Saif

Sam,

No Screen protector is used.

I have an explanation about the cause of this erratic behavior. The screen is so sensitive that it senses from the movement of the fingers. This emables other buttons without needing to touch the screen with fingers. In the process it also takes time in processing. So, it is a double loss of time.

When you press the the x buttton to clear the excess alphabets the it does no work in the first click. So you make another. Then the whole word dissappears. Sometimes, it takes about 5 minutes to type a simple text of 10 words.

Another explanation is that this model is defective. But I need a solution.

Saif

I have probably the exact same problem! And as if it wasn't enough, the area around the frame of the phone isn't responsive to touch, so it's very hard to reply to text messages with QWERTY keyboard because letters such as "q,a,z,p,l,m" and other buttons on the corners are not acessible. What can I do? Should I try callibrate it??

You also haven't a case or a screen protector on your handset?

Have you tried to repair the phone software using PC Companion?

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

If you have and the problem still persists I suggest that you have the phone examined by a service center. Please contact your local support for more information.
