Xperia Active restarting constantly

Good day!

My Xperia active had been working flawlessly for the past 8 months. Recently, while using Skype, my phone restarted suddenly. After that, the phone will not fully start. It will restart before showing me the home screen. When the problem started, the phone would start completely for like 10-15 seconds, but now, not even that happens. I have tried everything from removing SIM and memory card to hard reset, and Sony Support Zone update, but no luck.

I thought the phone was maybe infected by a virus, but today, I found out that the phone works fine when I have connected it to the USB cable. The phone restarts as soon as I unplug the USB cable. I am thinking it may be a problem with the battery but the phone restarts at the home screen each time. If there was a battery problem, should the phone start at all?

Can anyone please advise me what to do?

If you have tried to update/repair the phone software using Update Service we can rule out any software problems.

If there is a battery problem or another hardware problem is hard to say. If you have the possibility it should be good to try with a different battery in the phone. Otherwise you should have the phone examined by a service center. Please contact your local support for more information:
