Exchange mails suddenly get empty problem

I'm using xperia zl for last 3 months and use exchange mail on my phone. I experienced few times that my inbox gets all of a sudden fully empty. It needs to sync again with the exchange server to download all the mails to my phone again. Anybody has any clue and any known solution to fix this?

Try clearing the cache of the application. Settings -> Apps -> Running or All apps, just find it there and clear data + clear cache. Maybe it will fix the problem.

Have you noticed if this happens after you view and / or empty theTrash folder?

The same is happening to me and this seems to be what produces it.

After going back to the Inbox and refreshing to receive mails, most of my messages disappear.
