Hello I have a problem on the camera I have 3 black dots kdfyz take a picture problizim so seems to me as if they were a shadow, and I do not know what should I do ... I would like if it slo odtsranit any updates: (

I see, do you have a film protector on the back of your phone? is there anything on the lens? if not you MUST take your phone back to the store.

the lenses do not have anything I've tried to clean and did not help prez magnifying glass on it can not see anything

Hello Tabaky,

Unfortunately this is NOT a software issue but a hardware. There could be two factors two this problem. The phone eas exposed to dust and the dust particles entered the camera OR the phone was underwater many time or deep which caused particles to enter the camera lens. NOTE: The camera is not covered with glass and therefore anything can enter it. Your only way of fixing it is to take it to the service center and they should replace it for you like they did with mine. Back up your work because they will erase everything.

mine just bought for a week, theres lot of dot in my camera's too.. you did send to sony center? is it FOC with warranty?

Yes. It should be FOC since it's a defect in the product.

I am also facing the same problem now. All of sudden there is a black dot which is appearing in the camera as well as photos.

But the strange thing is it only appears in 4:3 camera ratio(eg 12MP , 5 MP ,VGA) and it again disappears in 16:9 ratio. Also in video it doesnt shows up.

For panorama the black dot appears in left and right mode and again it disappears for top and bottom.

What should i do? Is it a software bug or a hardware issue?

I fear if i give my phone to sony service centre and if they replace the camera sensor , Then will it affect the water resistance of the phone?

For the above issue , today i visited the service centre...Theyt told me that the phone would be replaced with a new phone .

But when i check the status , it is showing as this.

Thank you for using our products & services.

Your unit is currently under repairs.

So is xperia z repaired ? or replaced?

you should ask them if they are going to

1) replace your phone with a brand new phone

2) replace your phone with a refurbished phone

Yes they have told me that the phone would be replaced with a new one .....but then why is the status showing as it is under repairs

I confirmed with sony...they told me that it will be a new phone.

that's quite odd, once you get your "new" xperia run Service menu and check total call time

its a way to somehow check if its new or not
