You could try going to settings ---> apps ---> the 'all' tab ---> scroll down to messaging app, then click it, and 'force stop', then 'clear data'.

You also might want to clear the data of your keyboard.

Although, when you do this, you might lose the custom words you already added to your user dictionary. Also, I recommend making a backup of your messages (inclusive the received ones) before clearing the data.

I don't guarantee these steps will work, but you can atleast try them, might be an issue with the app itself.

Good luck!

This is the problem I have been facing from the day one after buying this smartphone, i.e., when i don`t message for sometime and when I receive a message, and "when i open the box where we have to type the message, THE DICTIONARY IS OFF BY ITSELF" and if I try to switch it on, it doesnt, instead I have to close messaging box and re-open it to enable it. Even thought it`s a small issue, it is very irritating and a disappointment to me, because I am a person who calls Sony with another name "Perfection", so i am a bit disappointed, please Sony, it is completely a software issue, so please rectify it ASAP in your next software update.

Is anyone facing this problem.?

Haven't heard of this problem before but as suggested by Dragoboss, try clearing data for Xperia keyboard under Settings -> Apps -> All and see if that helps. Please note that words that you have saved yourself will be deleted when you do this.
