Notification Bug still persisting in JB

Hi Guys

Congrats on the new jb update, its finally out. Those who havn't gotten it yet stay calm and wait a little more for it :smileyhappy:. Coming to the point, i expereinced a trace of the buggy ICS :smileyplain:. Sadly it was the notification bug, in which the notification sound goes off when you receive an aftercall service reply(the balance left message). Are you guys also facing the same issue or is it only me?. I updated my handset via Sony Update service a day back. Please guys suggest me a resolve other than factory reset/software repair as it has been done already by me.

My friend,are you using whatsapp?it had some interference with the sound back in GB and ICS!

Me too facing same problem, sometimes notification sound for sms is not playing.

Sony sucked at this One

Here's a temporary solution

Turn off your Notification sound(Settings>Sound>Notification>None)

And then Go to every messenger's settings you have i.e whatsapp,google+,Stock messening app,Gmail,Viber and Change your Notification sound from default to any other sound you would like.

Sony was expected to fix it in the JB. But it didn't. This would be my last sony phone.

Glad to hear that you found a workaround.

I'm unable to get an aftercall service reply with my operator so i can't test this myself but are you sure this is not caused by an installed app? I recommend that you first make a repair of the phones software in PC Companion and that you then try the phone for a few days without installing any apps. Does the problem occur then?

I also haivng this bug with JB .100 update. This is already with there in ICS as well. I did all the resetting things and repaire via SUS. But did not work around.

Is there a way to solve this? Becouse for a phone notification is a main phone funtion so this bug has to be fix ASAP

i am facing this notification problem since i updated my device from GB to ICS and even now with the latest JB (.100) .. the only solution is if i put the default notification to silent then my msg rings.. note tat the other installed apps do never conflict with this.. even if i set the default notificaiton to some tones, the problem comes for msgs and for default notifications only.. all the other installed apps doesnt get stops ringing.. if i set default notification then both the msg and default notification tones get stop and not other apps which i mentioned earlier.. have tired factory reset, repair and everything.. am on prepaid connection so i get my balance for each of the msg which i send.. aft 25 to 30 msgs my tones (msg tone and default tones) get stopped.. this is not becoz of installing other apps,, this has to be fixed by sony .. becoz in GB it worked ... sony pls fix it

I'm totally agree with you. I also have the same bug and sony people always telling only to do a factory re-set or update phone software using sus. This is a bug that is with there in GB, ICS and in JB as well.
