New firmware (10.1.1.A.1.253)

Hi Sony Team,

Just updated with the latet firmware. Noticed that these are the changes in this new firmware.

a) white balance

b) soft keys and nav bar changed to black

c) an option to disable the notification light

d) updating NFC

But beside these new updates. What are the other update in this firmware and how to get best picture with the white balance control under Display setting.

By the way, I have a problem with the soft keys and nar bar still appearing at the Lock Screen. Eventhough I have tried to fix this problem with PC companion but the problem still coming back after few days. Will you guys be solving this problem any soonest?

Yeah! I'd love to see the black softkeys.

Wonder why Sony made them grey. Hope this update will be available soon.

The STRIP behind Soft keys has been made BLACK, please notice that clearly. Soft keys are not made black, the strip behind them is made black, previously it was of Grey color.

New feature' feedback

The notification light is still on when the phone is charging on the charging dock even the notification light is turned off.

Suggesting the strip to be transparent instead of black so the screen will not look like 4.8" or 4.9".

What do you all think?

Sorry to ask, what is the Xperia Launcher?

Existing problem

The STRIP behind soft keys still appeared at the Lock screen after updating to new firmware.

The stamina mode still the same, previously 4 days 21 hr, then it becomes 3days 10hrs and now 2 days 12hrs. Why my stamina mode is dropping? How does stamina mode actually work?

stamina mode (which I don't use) do a little browse on the forum and you can get some good info

as for this update - I did it - uninstalled the antivirus (again) and I'm searching for a change that could account for almost 750mb - I don't see it - but then I never really had an issue to begin with - all still sweet

except for the smashed screen which I never did - the swimming pool photo session (underwater) not me - got my ear burnt talking to sony support (this phone gets hot) and of course it was dead after that - a task killer killed it - wasn't me - and after typing this one minute reply to this thread my phone says I have a problem with my stamina mode - my keyboard used 20% of battery - what keyboard ?????? 3 days left and counting

just kidding of course

anybody notice any real difference ?

I just tested the camera. The loading is fasting compared previously, 3 sec. Now is faster. Good job for listening to us, Sony. Still testing other features.

I test the camera again. No change in loading. Still the same. There is delay in loading the app.

That's strange i updated mine then did a repair via sus camera is opening in less than 3 sec, faster than before

I have just uploaded the "unbranded FTF of Xperia Z C6602 India region" > Now 2 ftf files, each of Xperia Z C6603 and C6602 is updated on above link, check please.

New uploaded ftf of C6602 is on different servers. C6603 is on grive only (756 MB, it takes a lot time to upload. )

Blob file links have been mentioned also, taken from XDA.

Nothing will happen as it's a global firmware it works fine. I am using the indian firmware on my xz in italy
