Hello, i was just wondering if it is worth upgrading to ice cream sandwich on the sony xperia pro , as there are several apps in the app store which i want to use but they require ice cream sandwich atleast? tHANKYOU

it'll be laggy most of the time, the way around it is a Custom ROM but the camera wont work properly among other bugs, which apps require ICS?

I am having ICS on Xperia Pro since it was out and there is no lag at all. On the contrary it runs more smoothly and better then GB. I am aware that there are users who have lag issues after updating on ICS but there are different regions, different operators customizations, different users...

I would assume that it can not be global statement "ICS has lags..." but you can not be sure until you try it yourself.

I would never go back on GB after all.

Indeed, GB its a lot faster/smooth than ICS but if you disable some bloatware apps and some other home launchers it will be smoother

I decided to upgrade and so far i like it a lot , there is an improvement in the software and sometimes it may not run as smoothly as it did on gb but most of the time it does and it semmed as if sony had worked hard to stop the lag as some intergrated apps such as the facebook timescape and mcafee antivirus had already been disabled with the option of me abling them , i chose to keep them disabled . Had it for nearly month now a great decision seeing as most new apps are requiring ics and up , also a way to keep it smooth is to set the proccess to 3 processes at most in the developer options.
