Please release stable update

Hi Sony,

My phone basic functionality was not working well, I mean calling functionality,

Not only bug in calling functionality, there are so many bugs.

Unable to call quickly its taking 2-3 min to call and even some time we dont get that the call was done and Some times it was swithching off.

like this there are so many please give bug free update ASAP.

If possible revert back the update to ICS stable version.

Try to start your phone in safe mode. Press and hold the power off option and you'll get the option to restart the phone in safe mode.

If the phone works better in safe mode, this can be caused by some 3rd party apps. Uninstall any task killer/manager and antivirus etc.

If the problem persists in safe mode I suggest that you repair the phone software using PCC:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, click start under Support Zone > start under Update phone > select Repair phone (in blue text).

Then follow the instructions given to you in the program.

which FW are u now .. aft ur upgrade have u done factory reset .. if not now follow this

1. factory reset

2. install the FW with SUS

3. factory reset

now check if ur device lags

everything .. including contacts, msgs, settings etc ,, if u uncheck format External memory, then u may not loose wat u have in ur sd card (11gb) ..

my advice is backup ur contacts, then backup ur sd card datas then do a factory reset ..

s u r right .. SUS is faster than PCC .. previously SUS installs the update with factory reset but now the new version of SUS has a option to skip the factory reset ..

Dear Alexander, also the version 6.2.A.1.100 doesn't work, it's almost impossible to use xperia p like a telephone(call,answer). Reset, reinstall, repair, unistall, remove, check apps, custom rom ... try yourself before.

Install one app like line, viber, ninbuzz ... make one\two sip call, afterwards try one incoming call you'll have one ring soundless and in outgoing call a delay of 3 sec, continuing the situation is getting worse.

Apps like :Viber, Line, Ninbuzz, Skype, Shazam, Voice Dialer(in the stock rom), Skype, CsipSimple, Easy Voice recorder .... CAN'T BE USED ??? Which other phone on the market have this limitation ?

I solve this, using some app developed for ics, waitng for an BUG FIX(no need other release), but the most people that are using this phone with this JB release are GOING CRAZY.

One advice, asap release one bug fix or help the customer to rollback to ics easly,

this is the worst advertising for SONY, i am talking like sony fan.

Yes you are right GanniC, I m not using any sip calls even tough it stucks bloody update...

Gokul this version it's a disaster, for me there is a problem with audio drivers, could not work well also app like tuneln radio for example, if you don't reboot when stuck, the telephone is unusable. One advice, roll back to ics and wait for the bug fix.

For me, if you revert back to ics don't lose the warrenty.

It should be better to look on xda site, but i don't know if you are a little bit pratical with techinal terms.

One advice, if you are not sure to do it yourself, let's go in one sony center and ask for them.

You can say with JB, your phone doesn't work.

hey Jack I updated my phone as you suggested but there is still problem.

Today I lifted the call and it was not responding even the other person cut the call, It was in still ringing mode I mean notification light is blinking I restarted mobile by pressing power button and volumeup key even it restart the notification light is blinking (what an update hands of sony... :smileysilly:) Again restatr it was ok( blinking gone).

badly we need update for it.

can you plzz check the method you suggested is working fine I done with that prviously itself but use, even yesterday I updated my phone with factory reset and update using SUS but facing the same issue. I think there is some problem in version please give update ASAP. I m using some messaging tools like whatsapp,wechat,hike etc.., these are all third party apps, you suggested to uninstal all those apps. But I guess original JB was supporting those means there is bug in sony build so you have to update , with out apps we can use basic phones not to spend money on such a phones na.
