I've updated my Xperia Z to 4.2 and after that, my carkit (VW RNS315,latest model) is no longer working. Under Bluetooth settings it shows two profiles 'Phone audio' and 'Media audio'. Media audio is enabled, Phone audio is not and it is not possible to enable Phone audio.

Thanks for your quick reply!

I do not have a clue how to reset the Handsfree carkit, but this morning I found out that my other car, which has a regular 1-DIN carradio with BT function, also is not working.

Of course I've already deleted the pairing and did a new pairing.

So, for now I have to cars in which the carkit does no longer function with my Xperia Z

Same problem with me mate, I have a Sony DSX-S300BTX HU with Bluetooth

before the update the BT would connect automatically and all features worked.

Now the don't every other phone with BT will connect and work perfectly except the Z

I have the exact same issue, tried a reset ont the stereo side but still no luck. Very very annoyed as I only got the Xperia Z as it was one of the only phones supported for Mirror Link with my Sony XAV701BT stereo. Mirror link iteslf still works but it uses bluetooth for voice calls.

Same problem here. It is currently not possible to select "Phone audio" on any bluetooth headset (Sony Smart Wireless Headset Pro, Sony MDR-1RBT, Jabra Motion, Philips SHB9100).

Re-Pairing does not help. This is very unpractical, since it currenty renders all bluetooth headsets useless.

Hi guys, for my phone, a stupendously easy solution worked: Turning Bluetooth Off and On again. Although I did re-pair my devices, I did not think of just trying that.

Hope that works for you as well!

Cheers,

Markus

Mine started working after a power down and power up of the phone. However have had to do this several times in the last couple of weeks to maintain connectivity to BT audio device.

I've done everything. Up until the unpdate of the new Android, my Xperia ZL worked excellent with my stock Peugeot 301 Car Stereo (i mention the car, just for you to realize its actually a SO problem). Since the update, I can:

Pair the phone with stereo

Check the call log

Check the contacts list

Listen to multimedia content through my car's speaker

Dial a number and start a phone call

But every time I make or receive a phone call, the moment the other party or I pick up, my Xperia decides to hang up the call after 1 second, making all the other functions worthless....

Are you planning on solving this quickly? I'm using a Jabra BT earpiece now, that seems to work fine, but only to make and receive phone calls.

If not, how can I go back to the previous Android version... the one that was working ok?

Thanks a lot.
