Hi,

When people phone me, I cannot hear them when the phone is switched to send the sound to the phone. When I switch speakerphone on, I can hear them, so I don't think it's anything wrong with the speaker.

There is a symbol at the top of the screen, next to the signal strength indicator, that shows a phone with a cross (x) next to the top right hand corner. The same symbol appears next to the time when the screen is locked and I press the 'down' or 'up' arrows.

Regards and thanks

Tim

From the main menu go to Settings--Calls--Manage calls--Accept calls & Restrict calls. For the Accept calls make sure you select All callers and for Restrict calls make sure no type of call is highlighted for restriction. Also, make sure that your calls are not being diverted (from the same menu). If this isn't the problem, remove the battery and SIM card for a few minutes, replace them and restart your phone.Failing that, run the SE update service on your phone and/or use the "repair phone" option via PC suite.Let me know what happens.

Thanks Will try your solutions and let you know. I found out what the symbol of a cell phone with a cross next to it is - it indicates that I have missed calls.

If the update does't help you will need to send the phone to a service centre.
